Mezcal is made from the Agave plant, just like Tequila. However, Tequila is a type of Mezcal, but not the other way around. Over 90% of all Mezcal is made in Oaxaca, Mexico. Mezcal is made with coals and wood in fire pits unlike Tequila which is made in steam ovens. Mezcal is widely known for its smoky flavor. However, mezcal does not come flavored like some vodkas and can also come without the smoky characteristics.

Cocktail
One of our favorite Mezcal Drinks is a Mezcal Negroni. It is a classic way to spark up any season.
What you need:
1oz Mezcal
1oz Campari
1oz Sweet Vermouth
Orange Peel to garnish
Add all contents to your glass, then add ice. Stir. Wipe orange around the mouth of the glass and place on top of ice. For some added flare, torch the orange peel before garnishing.
